The big awards in Vegas are just around the corner.
I just finished editing a series of preview stories on the nominees that will air all this week on "GAC Nights".
Just thought I'd take a moment to share my predictions on the Newcomer categories - the topic I tackle on this coming Thursday's "Nights" show.
Top New Male-
Billy Currington
Craig Morgan
Jason Aldean
I pick Craig, broken limbs and all, to win a close race. I just want to see him wheel himself on to the stage.
Top New Female-
Carrie Underwood
Miranda Lambert
Julie Roberts
Carrie should win this one, but I have a weird feeling that Miranda just might take it - Leaving Top Female Vocalist for the "Idol".
Top New Duo or Group-
Little Big Town
Sugarland
Big & Rich
I would love to see LBT steal this one, but I think the big Bon Jovi connection will send Sugarland to the podium.

By the way- a brand new "Country Music Across America" hits GAC this Thursday at 9pm ET.

I feel these three categories are all running a very tight race. Top Male, Craig has paid his dues and I think it is about time for him to come out on top. I would like to see him win. For female, either of the three. But I feel Carrie will win. Top Group, this is the toughest one. I have just seen LBT and Sugarland in Concert, what performances, totally awesome and I like Big & Rich, so whoever comes out the winner, I feel well deserves it. Thanks for the great shows! Keep them coming.
